Staff from Elcometer Limited, leading manufacturer of NDT, Coating Inspection and Blasting Equipment, have raised £1500 for three local charities.
Each year the Company pledges to organise fundraising activities and raise money over the festive period for three worthy causes. This year, fundraising ran from October to December and involved a cake sale, a quiz, a raffle and two fancy dress days. Staff were given the opportunity earlier in the year to nominate a charity to benefit from the monies raised and three were picked at random.
The chosen charities for 2019 were; Emmaus Mossley, who offer a home, work and personal support to people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion, Fairy Bricks, who give toys to sick children in hospices and hospital and Reuben’s Retreat, for children and young people who have a life limiting or life threatening illness and their families.
Michael Sellars, Managing Director at Elcometer said: “At Elcometer we are firm believers in giving back to the community. The staff at Elcometer have put considerable effort into organising and supporting a range of fund raising activities for our chosen charities. Thanks to their support and generosity, three charities will receive £500 this Christmas.”
